Brand Audit, Identity, and Experience Design

The project began with an in-depth review of Pizza Inn’s existing brand and market presence. I analyzed competitor positioning, customer touchpoints, and brand perception to identify opportunities for differentiation. The findings revealed a need for a stronger identity, more cohesive messaging, and a fresh visual language that balances tradition with modern appetite appeal.

To address this, I reimagined Pizza Inn’s visual identity to highlight its authentic flavors and welcoming personality. The redesign included a refreshed logo, a bold yet approachable color palette, hand-crafted typography, and illustrative accents that echo warmth and craft. The new identity was designed to evoke appetite and familiarity—perfectly suited to a pizza experience that’s both nostalgic and elevated.

Working closely with the client, I redesigned core menu materials to improve readability, highlight bestsellers, and guide user choices visually. In tandem, I crafted branded packaging designs—pizza boxes, carry-out bags, napkins—that reinforced the new look with playful, mouthwatering energy. Each element was designed to enhance the customer journey from ordering to unboxing.

Digital Experience, Rollout, and Brand Activation

I led the redesign of Pizza Inn’s website, focusing on mobile-first UX, streamlined ordering, and bold food photography. The result was a clean, responsive experience that better reflects the updated brand and makes online interaction simple and inviting. Social media assets and digital templates were also developed to ensure consistency across platforms.

To support the rollout, I delivered a comprehensive brand toolkit including visual guidelines, iconography, social templates, and print-ready materials. Staff uniforms, in-store signage, and merchandising elements were created to bring the rebrand to life in physical spaces, turning every customer interaction into a branded moment. The result was a unified brand experience that connects tradition with contemporary appeal, both online and in-store.

Reflection

Redefining Pizza Inn’s brand was about more than just aesthetics—it was about reconnecting a well-loved name with a new generation of customers. This project reminded me how powerful design can be when it blends nostalgia with clarity, and when every visual decision reinforces the experience. It was a delicious challenge—equal parts storytelling, systems thinking, and appetite appeal—and it deepened my belief that even comfort food deserves a fresh point of view.
