Research, Strategy, and Visual Identity

The project began with in-depth research into Ctranding’s user base and service offering. Through user interviews, competitor benchmarking, and behavioral analytics, I identified key pain points in the app’s flow—particularly in onboarding, daily tracking, and user retention. We also mapped user goals and emotional motivations to better understand how the app could support long-term habit formation.

Using these insights, I developed a UX strategy focused on simplifying core interactions and aligning the app’s structure with user mental models. This involved defining clear task flows, reorganizing the information architecture, and crafting a user journey that minimized friction and encouraged continuity over time.

Ctranding needed a distinctive yet approachable visual identity that felt supportive without being clinical. I created a fresh logo, modern color palette, and warm typography to reflect focus, motivation, and clarity. The result was a calming and trustworthy visual system designed to support behavior change subtly, without overwhelming users.

Interface Design, Prototyping, and Launch

I designed wireframes and high-fidelity prototypes that addressed key user flows, including onboarding, goal setting, and check-ins. These prototypes were tested with real users and refined based on feedback, resulting in a streamlined and emotionally aware interface that reduced cognitive load while reinforcing daily habits through microinteractions and subtle visual cues.

Once the final designs were approved, I delivered a complete design system and collaborated closely with developers to ensure pixel-perfect implementation. To support a strong rollout, I also designed pre-launch assets and app store visuals—maintaining consistency across brand and product and ensuring a cohesive user experience from first impression to daily engagement.

Reflections

Ctranding taught me how design can empower consistency, not through complexity, but through simplicity and empathy. It deepened my understanding of behavioral UX and how small details—from color to copy—can influence daily routines. This project reminded me that good design doesn’t shout—it supports. And when done right, it blends seamlessly into the user’s life, helping them become the version of themselves they’re striving toward.
